DIAGNOSIS

Rhizome rot from over-watering during winter dormancy. Snake plants have very poor recovery odds once rot spreads in the rhizome.

    Take out of pot, assess the rhizome

    If any healthy sections remain — separate and repot in dry substrate

    Discard rotten parts; do not try to save them
